The Under 20s beat their Dunfermline counterparts 1-0 at Tannadice tonight in a well earned victory. United took the lead on 52 minutes when Scott Smith, having beaten his man, unleashed a wonderful, low 30-yard strike into the bottom right of the net. United could have made it 2-0. However, Goodfellow pulled off a double save to deny Jordan Allan from the penalty spot and the subsequent rebound.
