Stuart Armstrong has been named the Clydesdale Bank Premier League Young Player of the Month for February 2013.
Armstrong has been in great form throughout the month which saw United win two and draw two of their five SPL fixtures. Stuart played a starring role in both the 3-1 defeat of Hearts at Tannadice and the 1-0 away defeat of Motherwell and the 2-2 draw at home to Hibs and the 0-0 result at Inverness. Stuart also opened the scoring in the defeat at Celtic Park.
Stuart further captained the Scotland Under 21 team which drew 1-1 with Greece in an international Under 21 friendly match during February. It is Armstrong's ability to run at pace with the ball at his feet and his direct style of play and ability to create and take chances that led the panel to vote him their Clydesdale Bank Premier League Young Player of the Month.
A panel of Scottish football experts chose the award winners from a shortlist which included the top three fans' nominations from Clydesdale Bank's football website, www.cbfootball.co.uk.
