Dundee United announce that John Taylor has been appointed Head of Football Administration/Company Secretary with effect from 1 May, and that Eleanor Whitby has taken up the new post of Head of Marketing & Events.
John Taylor is an experienced company secretary and football administrator, with 25 years experience in all aspects of club administration, match and tournament organisation. He has extensive experience of working with match venue operational staff, police, stewarding and competing clubs to ensure the safe and successful staging of football matches in Scotland and Europe.
John joins us from Clyde FC, where he has undertaken a similar role since 1986. He is also a Council Member of the Scottish FA, has acted as Head of Delegation for youth international squads and is a member of the Judicial Review Panel. In 2013, he was appointed a UEFA Match Delegate.
Eleanor Whitby joins the Club with an events and hospitality background spanning over 15 years. Running a successful events business in Dundee has given her the enthusiasm and creativity to plan, manage and execute great events. If you ask Eleanor what she enjoys most about her chosen career and joining Dundee United is would be, 'the challenge of bringing unique events to the club for fans to enjoy'.
A keen social media buff with an eye for detail, Eleanor is looking forward to teaming with up the Dundee United commercial team to promote the facilities that Tannadice Park can offer.
