Chairman Stephen Thompson and the Dundee United first team squad took time away from the busy festive schedule to visit the Children's hospital within Ninewells today.
First team players including Jon Daly, Sean Dillon, John Rankin, Johnny Russell and Rudi Skacel joined the Chairman to bring some Christmas cheer to the youngsters within the wards.
Chairman Stephen Thompson said, "It really is such a joy to see the delight on the faces of the children as they meet their sporting heroes as well as receive presents. As a community club, we take our social and moral responsibility seriously but today has simply been about bringing as much joy as possible to the children here."
Sean Dillon said: "Christmas should be a happy time, especially for children, and both myself and the lads hope our visit today has brought a little of that Christmas spirit to this hospital where some of the kids are going through a tough time just now."
NHS Tayside Chief Executive Gerry Marr said, "This is an incredibly generous gesture by Dundee United and I know that the children and staff on the wards will be thrilled.
"We try to ensure that as many of our child patients get home for Christmas day, however for those who are too ill to go home, we try to make things as special as possible for them.
"The visit today will go a long way to making this a happier time for them."
