Dundee United have completed the signing of Frenchman Gregory Vignal on a short term deal. Gregory joins the Club until 5 January 2013 - with the Club having the option of extending the deal.
Gregory, who can play in either defence or midfield, will bring experience to the first team squad and can list Liverpool, Lens, Southampton, Portsmouth and Kaiserslautern amongst his previous clubs. He also won a league title and league cup medal at Glasgow Rangers whilst on loan at Ibrox during 2004-2005.
Manager Peter Houston said "I have been looking to add a left sided defender to the squad. Gregory has plenty experience and it is important that we add experience to our young squad but first and foremost he is a very good player who will provide extra quality on the left hand side of the park.
"The length of the contract is ideal for both parties. It will allow Gregory to get a feel for our Club and gives us the opportunity to assess Gregory over a longer period."
