YOUTHS WIN 6 - 1 AGAINST EAST FIFE

21st July 2012

Stevie Campbell lined up his young side tonight at St Andrews in another pre season friendly. As the score suggests it was a comfortable victory for the lads, with three goals in each half.

Jordan Moore forced the first goal home as United dominated play and Willie Robertson netted a delightful brace to give United a 3-0 half time lead which could so easilly have been more.

In the second half the fourth was scored by A trialist before Kerr Hay added a powerfully struck fifth. He then made a great run and beat the keeper to send the ball goalwards but it looked like Mark Russell got a decisiive final touch as a defender tried to clear. East Fife scored their consolation goal shortly before that but overall it was definitely United who took all the plaudits as the pre season build up continues.
