CALOR SIGN NEW CONTRACT WITH DUNDEE UNITED

8th June 2012

Calor, Scotland's leading supplier of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), has renewed its sponsorship with Dundee United as the main club sponsor for another two seasons. This means that the Calor logo will take pride of place on the players' shirt fronts over four consecutive seasons.

The instantly recognisable Calor marks will also appear on all Dundee United official replica kit shirts and Coaching staff kits.

Dundee United Chairman Stephen Thompson said: "We are absolutely delighted that Calor have chosen to extend the relationship as main club sponsor for another two seasons. Our two companies continue to cooperate and enhance each other's brand awareness in our respective fields. Over the course of the relationship we have witnessed a growth in the ambitions and performance levels of the Club and Calor has played an instrumental part in this."

The agreement gives Calor exclusivity with Dundee United in the LPG sector.

Dundee United Chairman Stephen Thompson said: ""As we venture into European football for the third successive season, Calor's willingness to extend our agreement proves that Dundee United provide the correct opportunity and environment for such an established company to continually expose their brand to new markets and new customers. We look forward to more continued success alongside Calor throughout the coming season."

Stephen Rennie, Managing Director of Calor commented: "Calor is the leading brand when it comes to exceptional energy and it has been fantastic watching Dundee United replicate this with some exceptional performances on the pitch last season.

"Calor is continuing to grow within the Scottish market in the same way that United is becoming an increasingly powerful force within the SPL. We hope United continue its success in the 2012/2013 season.

Sponsorship activities between Dundee United and Calor will promote Calor's expertise in providing exceptional energy for over two thousand uses from domestic central heating, to agriculture through to fork lift trucks.
