Dundee United have launched their 2012-13 season ticket package and there is a distinct family feel to the package with Under 12 season tickets absolutely free when an Adult season ticket is purchased for the George Fox Lower Family Stand. Additional Under 12 season tickets can be purchased for only £20 during Sales Period One saving an amazing 89% on gate prices.
Our best saving is the new family season ticket package with the cost of 1 Adult and 2 Under 12s tickets in our George Fox Lower Family Stand costing just £365* throughout Sales Period One - this represents a whopping 49% saving on the equivalent gate price of £780 combined.
Adult prices have been frozen at 2011-12 rates and start from £299 (22% saving on gate prices), Under 18 prices start from £125 (40% saving on gate prices) and Senior Citizen prices start from £185 (9% saving on gate prices).
The Club have listened to our loyal season ticket holders and we have also restructured the benefit package which now has a 14 point benefit plan which should have something for everyone, including discounts with major firms such as Pizza Hut*, Thomas Cook, David Lloyd Leisure and Hilton Hotels alongside other local firms such as Dr Noodles and Tony's Takeaway.
Chairman Stephen Thompson said: "This year's package is aimed at every United supporter. We listened to the fans' comments and have restructured the season ticket package to include more benefits for our loyal season ticket holders but also we wanted to enhance the match day experience for families. This is why we have decided to make the George Fox Lower Stand our official Family Stand, and offering Under 12 season tickets free with Adult season ticket purchases will allow us to create a distinct family atmosphere in that area of the ground. We are also currently working on ideas that will encourage greater interaction for family groups and improve the experience on matchdays for young United supporters. With additional Under 12 season tickets priced at only £20, we believe this offer will make it affordable for families to attend Tannadice for football matches. We want them to come join the United family."
Manager Peter Houston said: "Last season we worked hard to bring youthful talent to the Club in Gary Mackay-Steven and Gavin Gunning alongside the experienced Willo Flood and John Rankin. This was only possible due to our loyal season ticket holders buying their season tickets early and helping form my budget for the season. I am delighted that the Club have made coming to watch Dundee United far more appealing for families with this season's package and I know that our team with its mix of young talent and quality experience will once again excite the fans. Buying your season ticket is showing your faith in the players and myself that we will once again achieve our goals for Dundee United and for that I thank each and everyone of you."
Brochures have been sent out to all those on the Dundee United database and there are four ways to purchase or renew season tickets.
