Saturday's game against Inverness will offer all United fans the opportunity to once again see Jim McLean upon the hallowed Tannadice turf. The Club are offering discounted gate prices to enable every Arab to come along and pay tribute to our greatest ever manager as he officially opens the stand which is now dedicated to him.
Adult prices are reduced to £15 for upper tiers and £13 for lower tiers whilst concession* prices have been set at only £6 and £5 respectively. Every fan entering the home end will receive a free raffle entry which will give them the chance to win one of several fantastic prizes offered in celebration of this gala occasion.
In addition to the George Fox, Eddie Thompson and West Stands, the Jim McLean Fair Play Stand is also allocated to the home support for this match so United fans can watch the game from the newly renamed stand. Season tickets are valid for the Jim McLean Fair Play Stand, albeit following consultation with the Federation of Dundee United Supporters' Clubs, the Club have limited entry for season ticket holders to the first 600 places. As demand for seats within this stand is expected to be high, we would recommend early arrival.
At the end of the warm up period prior to kick-off, the United players will be handing signed balls into the crowd and there will be an opportunity for kids within the West Stand to have their faces painted by onsite face painters.
The prizes for the free raffle are as follows:
- A framed commemorative United top, signed exclusively by Jim McLean
- 4 places at George Fox Hospitality for a future game
- 1 Season Ticket
- A free ArabZONE subscription until the end of Season 2011/2012
- A 1983 'I was there' League winning brick on the exclusive wall outside the main reception
- A Black and Tangerine Brick on the Centenary Wall outside Tannadice
- 1 mascot place at the home match against St Johnstone on 22nd October 2011
PLEASE NOTE THAT RAFFLE PRIZES WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON THE CLUB MEDIA FORMATS (OFFICIAL WEBSITE, FACEBOOK PAGE ETC) AND WINNERS WILL HAVE TO BRING THEIR TICKET STUB ALONG TO THE CLUB SHOP TO COLLECT THEIR PRIZE ONCE CONFIRMED ON THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE.
There will also be a one off season ticket holder exclusive prize draw prior to the day of the game in which one lucky winner will have the opportunity to be part of the official presentation photograph alongside Jim McLean on the pitch at half time.
