Dundee United FC today announced the loan signing of highly rated 19-year-old Keanu Marsh-Brown from Fulham FC. The deal, which is subject to international clearance and sees the player become a United player until mid January, is the second such deal between the clubs in recent days following Lauri Dalla Valle's move to Tannadice. The Club will have the option to extend the deal until the end of season.
Previously with Arsenal at a very early age, Keanu is a Fulham Academy graduate who was a regular in their Under-18 side in 2008-09 before progressing to the Reserves. He signed an extension to his contract in January 2011 which will keep him on the books of the London club until the end of season 2012-13.
The right sided player spent the latter half of 2010-11 at League One side MK Dons where he played 19 times and netted twice. Keanu has international experience for England at several Youth levels up to and including Under-17. He has attracted attention from English clubs including Spurs and Manchester City and, more recently, Nottingham Forest, who were linked with a loan deal for Keanu in early August .
Manager Peter Houston said, "Keanu is another player recommended to us by Billy McKinlay, the Fulham reserve team coach. He is a midfielder who can also do us a turn in defence if required. With his pace and willingness to take on defenders, he gives us yet another option in wide areas and should also excite our fans. I am thrilled to have added him to our playing squad."
