United returned to winning ways with a comfortable victory over Partick Thistle in the fourth round of the Active Nation Scottish Cup.
A goal from Argentine striker Damian Casalinuovo and a last minute solo effort from David Goodwillie secured a 2-0 win for the Terrors and was enough to earn Peter Houston his first victory as Caretaker Manager.

ArabZONE. On a freezing afternoon at Firhill, the Terrors outclassed their First Division opponents for much the match.
And although Thistle did have a couple of golden opportunities to score either side of half time, Ian McCall's side never looked like beating debutant Dusan Pernis in the United goal.
United dominated the first half and took a deserved lead in the 26th minute.
A Craig Conway corner fell to Garry Kenneth who volleyed goalwards, but the ball was helped over the line by Casalinuovo, and despite Thistle protests for handball, referee Dougie McDonald allowed the goal to stand.
Casalinuovo had earlier missed a one-on-one, but he made amends and celebrated to chants of "Argentina, Argentina" in front of the travelling Arabs.
United survived a brief late second half onslaught from the home side, but after they missed a couple of great chances, the Terrors began to cruise to victory.
In the final minute of the match, the away side broke forward through substitute Goodwillie, who raced towards the corner flag.
But, instead of running down the clock, he cut inside and danced past two defenders before drilling his shot home from the narrowest of angles - sealing United's place in the fifth round.
