UNITED DRAW AGAINST DROGHEDA

20th July 2009

A United side made up of youth and experience, came back strongly to draw against an Eircom team after being two goals behind tonight.

The home side took an early lead through a Paul Krowlay penalty after just 11 minutes and doubled their lead early in the second half through Ian Ryan after Conor Grant parried a free kick.

However United came back strongly to reduce the deficit in 57 minutes, when Danny Cadamateri scored his first goal for the Club after good work by Gomis and the Argentinian trialist.

And Mihael Kovacevic grabbed the equaliser with 11 minutes to go after Garry Kenneth hit the bar.

United almost secured a final minute winner when Garry Kenneth was denied by the woodwork.
