A very young U19 side crashed out of the Forfarshire Cup at Links Park tonight, but the 4-1 scoreline hardly reflected the pattern of the game.
Having gone two down, David Goodwillie pulled one back on the half hour mark.
The striker then squadered a golden opportunity to level when his penalty kick was saved just before the break.
In the second half, Goodwillie twice hit the woodwork as did Scott Allan.
And following Goodwillie being brought down for what looked a stonewall penalty, the home side scored twice more and make their three-goal winning margin hugely flattering.
