THE CIS INSURANCE CUP FINAL OFFICIAL MATCHDAY MAGAZINE

The Scottish Football League has produced a bumper 68 page A4 size Matchday Magazine for Sunday's CIS Insurance Cup Final between Dundee United and Rangers.

The Matchday Magazine has extensive coverage of both finalists including interviews with the Dundee United Manager, Craig Levein, and Rangers' Manager, Walter Smith, as well as a number of interviews with some of the players who will feature at Hampden on Sunday. The articles include interviews with the respective club captains, United's Lee Wilkie and Rangers Barry Ferguson, who will be playing in his fifth League Cup Final, interviews with United's leading scorer in the competition, Noel Hunt, defenders Darren Dods and Christian Kalvenes, midfielder Craig Conway and the sole survivors from United's last appearance in a major Cup Final, Garry Kenneth and Mark Kerr, whilst in the Rangers camp, there are interviews with former United favourite, Christian Dailly, defenders Stevie Whittaker and Kirk Broadfoot, midfielder Brahim Hemdani, who captained Marseille to the UEFA Cup Final in 2004, and midfielders Lee McCulloch and Chris Burke.

There are also a number of fascinating articles on various former United and Rangers players including interviews with former Rangers and Dundee United favourite, Iain Ferguson, who scored the Rangers winner on the last occasion that both clubs met in the Final of this competition back in season 1984/85, current United Goalkeeping Coach, Scott Thomson, who saved the vital penalty shoot-out kick when Raith Rovers dramatically won the League Cup against Celtic in season 1994/95 and former Rangers favourite, Derek Johnstone, who gained five winners' medals in this competition, his last ironically enough, against Dundee United back in season 1981/82. Other feature articles include interviews with the BBC Scotland pundit, Billy Dodds, who has played for both clubs and has winners' medals in this competition with Aberdeen and Rangers, a look back with former United captains, Paul Hegarty and Maurice Malpas, who both captained United teams to victory in League and Scottish Cup Finals respectively, and current Plymouth Argyle manager, Paul Sturrock, who scored in United's League Cup Final victories in seasons 1979/80 and 1980/81, as well as an interview with former Rangers players, Robert Russell and Ian Redford, who both played in Rangers League Cup Final victories against Dundee United in seasons 1981/82 and 1984/85.

There are also extensive player profiles on the respective squads of both Finalists and in addition, other features include articles on the match officials, a detailed report on the round by round Road to the Final, detailed statistical information as well as a number of action packed photographs.
