UNITED SIGN JORDAN ROBERTSON ON LOAN

28th August 2007

Dundee United today completed the loan signing of 19 year old striker Jordan Robertson from Sheffield United. The player has joined the Club on a season long loan deal but Sheffield United retain the right to recall him in January should they choose to do so.

The player is a highly rated product of Sheffield United's youth academy and has been a prolific scorer in the Reserves. He has previously been on loan to gain first team experience at Torquay United and Northampton Town, scoring goals during both loan spells. He has already scored several times for Sheffield United Reserves this season.

Manager Craig Levein said, "Jordan is the type of direct young striker I've had in mind and will be not only a good addition to the squad, but will also give me more options in an under strength area of the team.

Although only 19, Jordon has already gained first team experience on loan and proved that he can play at that level. This was an important factor in my thinking. I'm delighted that Sheffield United have given us permission to make use of this player and the fact that they want an option to take him back early shows you how highly they rate him."

Meanwhile, it was also confirmed today that Marco Andreoni has joined Montrose and William Easton Stirling Albion on loan until the beginning of January 2008.
