EARLY BIRD EXTENSION ENDS TODAY

Season ticket sales continue to exceed expectations and, to date, are currently running ahead of the same period last year and projections for this year. With postal and online Early Bird season ticket orders continuing to be received and many applications still waiting to be processed, it has been decided to extend the Early Bird prices - but only until Saturday, 9 June.

Dundee United Chairman Eddie Thompson said, "The Early Bird prices have proved to be a considerable success, with sales well ahead of both prior year and forecasts to date. I would like to thank all supporters who have purchased their season tickets to date and assure everyone that all applications received up to and including Saturday will still be processed at Early Bird rates. We originally thought that the increase in early sales might only have been as a result of fans buying as they purchased their briefs for the Barcelona match. However, despite the 'sell out' situation for this game against Barcelona, the demand for season tickets has continued unabated.

"Despite finishing in only 9th place in the SPL last season, there is undoubtedly an underlying optimism with United fans for next season which we haven't felt for a number of years. Clearly, the fans are putting their faith behind the Manager to take the Club forward to a new level in his first full season with the Club."
