Dundee United can now confirm that Craig Conway (20), currently with Ayr United, has signed a pre contract with the Club and, subject to medical, will become a Dundee United player on a three year contract from 1 June. The matter of compensation will be determined by an independent panel, following Ayr United's rejection of an amount offered by Dundee United.
Craig Conway joined Ayr United in August 2002 and broke into the fringes of the first team squad in 2005. He can play either wide right or wide left in midfield, but has become a more regular first team player this year in his preferred wide right position.
Manager Craig Brewster said, "Craig is young and ambitious and while he still has a lot to learn and is not yet the finished article, he has a hunger to learn and succeed. He possesses pace, which is important, and with the right attitude he is the type of player that we can develop further."
