As at close of business on Sunday 26 June, the Club had sold some 4500 season tickets under the Early Bird scheme. This compares with just over 3400 at the end of the Early Bird period last year and there are still four days of the Early Bird period remaining this year.
Director Derek Robertson said, "There has been a fantastic response from fans to our Early Bird offer and we would like to thank every one of them for supporting the Club in this way. The Club Shop was simply overwhelmed at the weekend and the four day extension to Thursday 30 June will allow even more fans to take advantage of this offer. To make things a little more convenient for those still to purchase, the Shop will remain open until 7pm on Thursday to cope with any last minute demand."
While we expect sales activity to slow down a little after the Early Bird period, we've been encouraged by the high level of new sales and the fact that over 1000 existing season ticket holders have still to renew. With two sales periods still to come, we could be looking at all time record season ticket sales for Dundee United."
