Gordon took over as Interim Manager after the departure of Ian McCall in March and during his short time in charge he has made a significant impact. At the beginning of April, his side narrowly lost 3-2 to Hibernian at Easter Road, following a similar narrow defeat against champions Celtic. However, victories over Rangers, Hearts and Dundee (not to mention a Scottish Cup semi final victory) together with a 1-1 draw with Livingston have meant that United have secured 10 points from a possible 13 in April and are now 4 points clear of bottom placed Dunfermline in the Bank of Scotland Premierleague.
The award was presented to Gordon at Tannadice this afternoon.
