Dundee United FC will host their second major Show Racism the Red Card (SRTRC) presentation of the season for some 150 Tayside primary schoolchildren at Tannadice, tomorrow Wednesday 23rd March at 12.15pm. The anti-racist seminar will include a Q&A session following a screening of the Show Racism the Red Card videos. The young people will then get the chance to question a panel of Dundee United stars about racism and its consequences.

Dundee United Director Derek Robertson said: "Dundee United FC and our fans have had a strong relationship with SRTRC for several years and are more than happy to back a second SRTRC event this season. Racism has no place in Scottish or world football, and we will do whatever we can as a club to eradicate it from Scottish society."

Mike Barile of the Dundee United supporters' trust the 'Arab Trust', said: "We are very keen to participate in this kind of initiative and delighted to support Show Racism the Red Card in their work with the young people of Tayside.

"Our involvement shows that real football fans do care about the issues of racism and sectarianism which have had a lot of coverage in the media lately. It's important that fans actually do something rather than just debating these issues. Hopefully we have made some contribution today."

Young people attending the seminar will also have the chance of winning a signed Dundee United football, and all will go on a stadium tour, coming away with a bag of goodies including posters, magazines, badges and free tickets for the forthcoming Dundee United v Hearts game at Tannadice.

Roddy McNulty, Campaign Coordinator for Scotland, Show Racism the Red Card, said: "Particularly given recent events at the club, today once again shows the level of Dundee United FC, its players and fans commitment to ending racism in football and Tayside society.

"280 local schoolchildren have attended one of these events at Dundee United FC this season and the message from the young people has been loud and clear: racist attitudes and behaviour are as unacceptable in Scottish society as they have become in Scottish football."
