SUPPORTERS’ OPEN MEETING

Over sixty members of ArabTRUST, the Dundee United Supporters’ Trust, attended the first open meeting with the Board and Management of the Club last night. Chairman Eddie Thompson and Manager Ian McCall were joined by Directors Gibby Haggart, Derek Robertson and Stephen Thompson, together with General Manager Bill Campbell and PR consultant Malcolm Brown. In his introductory remarks, Eddie Thompson referred to the financial pressures affecting Scottish football and explained the Club’s position relative to the situation as a whole. Thereafter, the meeting was open to questions from the floor and these covered a wide range of issues concerning the football, financial and commercial areas of the Club. “The meeting was extremely worthwhile”, said Derek Robertson. “Several pertinent and valuable points of view were obtained and these will be included in our ongoing consultation exercise. We intend to repeat this type of meeting in the near future.”
