The Dundee United Ladies Football Club have been given a boost prior to the new season, with two new coaches taking charge of the team for the new term. Twin Brothers Tony and Nicky Murray have stepped in to prepare the team for the forthcoming season in Division 1. Dundee United Community Coach Gavin Levey stated, "We are delighted to have Tony and Nicky Murray on board. Both have been through the SFA Coach Education programme with me and demonstrate great knowledge and positive coaching practice". Gavin continues, "it is always good to strengthen our pool of coaches working in the community and with school teachers Tony and Nicky we have certainly done that. Furthermore, both have obtained Level 3 coaching awards and Tony is currently undertaking the SFA Youth Licence Diploma." The involvement of the new coaching staff intends to attract some new players to the club in a bid to regain Premier League status.
Training continues to take place at Gussie Park on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.00pm. Players interested in coming along to training should contact Gavin Levey at Tannadice Park on 01382 833166. Meanwhile, there are still places available on the two girls football courses due to take place at Invergowrie Primary School (July 21st - 25th) and Gussie Park (28th July - 1st August).
