Dundee United today (Wednesday 11 June 2003) held their AGM for approval of their accounts for the year to 30 June 2002.
A good turnout of shareholders plus, for the first time a representative of the Dundee United Supporters' Trust (Arab Trust), attended the AGM held at Tannadice.
The accounts for the year to 30 June 2002 were approved by the shareholders.
Following this, an in accordance with the Club Articles, a number of current Directors by rotation were re-elected to the Board. They were: Scott Carnegie, Derek Robertson, Stephen Thompson and the Chairman, Eddie Thompson.
The shareholders also agreed to the appointment of Deloitte Touche as Company Auditors with effect from the conclusion of today's meeting.
Eddie Thompson, Chairman of Dundee United said at the close of the AGM, "A number of groups and organisations have contributed greatly to the well-being of the Club during this period. These include The Federation of Dundee United Supporters' Clubs, Dundee United Business Club, Young Lions, Young Arabs and the newly formed Dundee United Supporters' Trust. Their invaluable contribution to the Club is greatly appreciated."
