Dundee United is set to take a large travelling support to Motherwell for the crunch game on Saturday 3 May, after the Club offered to pay for the buses of official supporters' clubs. As normal, the offer is open only to clubs who are affiliated members of the Federation of Dundee United Supporters' Clubs, and supporters are asked to ensure that all arrangements for bus travel are agreed with the Federation in advance of firm bookings being made.
Eddie Thompson, Chairman of Dundee United, said -
"The team will need the backing of a large and vociferous support for this important game. By making this offer, we are giving additional encouragement to our supporters to make the journey to Motherwell. Before becoming Chairman of the Club, I provided subsidies on a number of occasions and this was always appreciated by the fans.
Our half price promotion for the Hibernian game and now this free bus offer clearly demonstrates how seriously we are taking these last few matches and the very important part our supporters play in these games."
