The Under-18 side were away to Aberdeen today and fell behind to a ninth minute opener from the home side. Earlier Steven Bell saw his shot come back off the bar and Graeme Holmes had the ball in the net but was adjudged offside.
The young Tangerines did grab an equaliser with a 25 yard shot into the top corner from Kenny Jarvis (pictured) after he had beaten the young Dons defence single-handed.
Despite superiority of possession and the benefit of a strong wind in the second half, United could not take full advantage and Aberdeen took the lead with an hour played and wrapped up the three points with quarter of an hour left.
