On Wednesday afternoon, newly appointed United Manager Ian McCall, Craig Easton and Charlie Miller looked ahead to the CIS Insurance Cup Semi Final versus Celtic tomorrow evening at Hampden Park. Whilst never having taken on Celtic as a manager, McCall was clear about the way his team would approach the occasion. In a press conference at lunchtime, McCall stated: "These are one-off matches where anything can happen - you have to be positive and be aggressive. You can be positive without being kamikaze and aggressive in a controlled way. You have to get out there and believe you can do something."
On the selection front, McCall confirmed that both recent signings Chiarini and Bollan were ineligible for the tie and that he had not decided on the goalkeeping position yet.
