Dundee United FC players Russell Latapy and Billy Dodds visited Ninewells Hospital today in support of the Family Room due to be opened later this year with help from the RMCC (Ronald McDonald Children's Charities). The Family Room in the Institute of Child Health at Ninewells will give vital support to the parents of sick children during their stay at Ninewells. The facility will comprise of six bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, kitchen and living areas.
Russell Latapy commented: "I was astounded to learn that one in two children in the UK will spend at least one night in hospital. Supporting RMCC and hospitals such as Ninewells in enormously important."
