Following United's third consecutive league 0-3 defeat yesterday, Manager Paul Hegarty commented, "The result today and the manner of it is unacceptable for a club of Dundee United's standng. We let down the large United support who travelled through on Boxing Day to Livingston to give the team their backing. The players have been left in no doubt about how I feel and how I expect them to react. We have to get back to the level we had achieved when I first took over."
United must now pick themselves up and prepare for the trip to Firhill to play Partick Thistle. The Jags have begun to pick up some momentum and following yesterdays 1-1 draw at Hibs, they sit on twenty two points, seven ahead of the Tangerines.
There is one more match to play following Sunday's trip to Glasgow before the winter shutdown when United entertain Kilmarnock at Tannadice on Thursday 2nd January, kick off 3pm.
