A very strong United Under-21 team defeated Aberdeen Under-21's 5-0 at Tannadice this evening. The home side started strongly with goals from Jim McIntyre in the third minute followed by a second three minutes later scored by Allan Smart.
Surprisingly, there was no further scoring in the first half however eleven minutes after the break, O'Donnell ran onto a through pass down the middle and stroked the ball past Peat in the Dons goal for United's third.
David Winters in the 77th minute and Allan Smart with his second two minutes from time completed the scoring to record an emphatic win. The Under-21's remain undefeated this season having played four matches, winning two and drawing two. This was their first home win of the season which has lifted them to the first position in the Under-21s league table.
